Quality and Performance Team Leader (Youth Programme)

£33.5k – £36.44k per annum

Job Introduction

As a Quality and Performance Team Leader you are responsible for monitoring and improving the Youth Programme’s performance against delivery targets, ensuring that each region has the information and resources required to effectively reach targets, including implementing improvement plans where required.

Quality and Performance Team Leaders also monitor and implement quality measures to ensure the delivery of programme activities are of a high standard, whilst championing a culture of continuous learning and improvement across the team.

By actively promoting collaborative working across GamCare, our partner network, and other agencies they ensure we produce the best outcomes for young people and maximise the impact of our work. You will form part of an enthusiastic team who are committed to supporting young people affected by gambling-related harm across the United Kingdom, and work within a supportive programme leadership team.

The role will be a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2024 to coincide with the funding for the current programme. Should GamCare secure further funding to extend the programme beyond April 2024 then a permanent contract offer is likely.

Main Responsibilities

Monitor and improve performance against key performance indicators as agreed with funders to ensure programme targets are achieved

Evaluate the overall quality of programme activities on a quarterly basis to ensure best practice is routinely shared and areas for improvement identified, with effective solutions put in place

Provide effective matrix management and wellbeing support to Education and Training Leads, ensuring access to relevant development opportunities, celebrating their successes, and managing quality and performance issues when required through an effective relationship with their Service Lead.

Facilitate opportunities for collaboration and teamwork across a large, remote

team, ensuring they feel connected with colleagues and the wider organisation

Lead on various projects designed to improve and add value to the work conducted by the Children and Young People Directorate at GamCare

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have knowledge of how to continuously improve and develop a high performing team through effective line management and supervision processes. You will have experience of developing and embedding robust quality measures and identifying areas for improvements, plus implementing effective solutions. You will have the ability to motivate large, remote teams, working to ensure cross organisational collaboration and connection to the wider organisation and maintain a positive team dynamic.

We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of monitoring performance against key performance indicators and implementing effective measures to address under performance. Strong communication skills are key, and you will possess strong skills in negotiation, influencing and implementing changes effectively.
