Our Agile Application Development team consists of multiple teams that collaborate to support Weightmans’ information systems and infrastructure. The teams are: IT Applications, IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity, IT Services, and IT Portfolio and Project Management.

The team has acknowledged the necessity to expand in order to fulfil rising demand. The selected candidate must be well-versed in the.NET platform and Microsoft Stack technologies, having developed, maintained, and supported enterprise-standard solutions both as part of a team and on their own.

This position should be filled by a web developer with prior expertise in a related job. It is critical that the successful candidate is enthused about the technologies being utilised and has a drive to learn how to use them effectively in an enterprise environment.The candidate will work two days in the office and three days from home.

Your primary roles and responsibilities will be:

  • To become a member of the Applications Development Team developing software components and supporting existing systems as part of a team or on their own.
  • Follow standards and processes to achieve consistent, measurable results.
  • Build solutions and applications in an Agile and ISO 270001 software development environment.
  • Proactively identify and resolve possible issues before they turn into incidents.

About You

This profession requires flexibility and adaptability to various activities. We also demand that you have:

  • Excellent knowledge of C#.
  • Excellent understanding of the.NET Core and.NET Framework
  • Excellent understanding of SQL-based databases.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server (T-SQL).
  • Good knowledge of Azure services.
  • Good understanding of Visual Studio (latest version)
  • Awareness about OWASP.
  • Understanding web development standards like HTML5 and CSS
  • Awareness of UI frameworks such as Vue and Angular
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and test-driven development
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, capacity to detect risk, assess impact, and provide acceptable solutions, or escalate as necessary.
  • Outstanding deadline and personal time management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to deploy well-tested solutions that suit the needs of end users
  • Can collaborate with other members of staff when additional resources are required for projects.
  • Awareness of ISO27001 would be advantageous.
