About us
We are a 24-hour RCVS small animal accredited hospital, 30 mins by train into London as well as direct transport links to Southend and Stanstead airports. We are also 25 minutes’ drive to the seaside.
We are a large team of 14 vets, we have surgical and medical certificate holders whilst others are currently undergoing their various certificate programmes in cardiology and medicine, our nursing team is one of our assets as we have a very accomplished nursing team, many schedule 3 and imaging trained and lots with post graduate certificates. In addition to this, we also have 1 Hydrotherapist, 1 Physiotherapist and 12 Client Care Advisers.
We have state of the art purpose-built facilities which already includes a CT scanner and have recently expanded our services to enable us offer MRI, Hydrotherapy and Physiotherapy rehabilitation.
In addition to gold standard inpatient care, we offer first opinion small animal services as well as outpatient services for emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, CT/MRI imaging, hydrotherapy and Physiotherapy as well as laser therapy.
About you
Due to this expansion, we are looking for someone with strong clinical experience who loves working in a thriving, vibrant, forward-thinking environment and aspires to high standards of clinical excellence, interest in exotics is beneficial but not essential.
The candidate must be a competent surgeon who can perform most standard emergency procedures and have the ability to manage complex medical cases.
Our benefits
We have a great 4-day week; 1 in 4 weekends; 40-hour rota.
We have a dedicated night team so no OOH, however we do have an on-call rota which equates to about 3 -4 times in the year thus enabling excellent work life balance.
We offer an attractive salary package up to £55,000 p/a depending on experience with good supportive management structure.
We actively support our vets who are interested in obtaining specialist certificates with no cap to our CPD allowance as development is at the core of what we do. We offer a range of enhanced benefits such as subsidised private healthcare, discounts as well as various CPD options.
We are an accredited sponsor, able to issue certificates of sponsorship for tier 2 (general) visas for suitable vet applicants.
