Amivet Ltd is a nationwide company and a leading provider of export health certificates for the export of food and other products of animal origin from GB.

We are currently recruiting for Official Veterinarian positions, with the possibility of Deputy Regional Manager for the right candidate. No experience is required, as full comprehensive training and support will be provided. However, we are also keen for applicants with previous export experience to apply, who may wish to progress their career to a position with additional responsibilities or supervisory/managerial roles. A good eye for detail, flexibility and a willingness to travel where needed are the main requirements. You will be using your veterinary knowledge to ensure the safety of public and animal health.

Day to day tasks will include: –

• Checking of products on sites
• Review of supporting evidence provided to sign EHCs
• Reading of relevant legislation and guidance notes
• Stamping and signing of EHCs
• Dealing with any exporter queries/advice
• Maintaining a good working relationship with other staff on the sites

Work will be based at our Eurocentral site, just off the M8 outside Motherwell. We will consider full time (40 hour) or part time/job share applications for these roles. Shifts patterns vary, with some weekend work and on call required. There is no abattoir work involved. There may occasionally be opportunities to travel and work at other locations within the UK.

You will need to be a qualified veterinary surgeon and hold, or be happy for us to fund, the Improve International OCQ courses ES, EX and PX. We can support a skilled worker visa application if required. A full driving license and own car are essential.

Starting salary range from minimum £42,000 (depending on experience.)
