This is a great time to join GamCare’s Gambling Awareness and Prevention (GAP) programme, joining our new team, providing online and face to face training to professionals, developing tailored and engaging content, and ensuring that our training products are informed by the latest research, evidence and statistics.

GAP is funded by GambleAware to deliver quality, consistent and relevant gambling engagement and training to organisations working with those at risk of gambling harm across England, Scotland and Wales. The Programme covers seven sectors: debt advisors, housing/homelessness staff, faith/cultural and community leaders, community pharmacists, primary care and social care workers, and occupational health providers.

Working alongside regional Engagement Leads, Training Leads will provide awareness-raising and preventative work to help early identification of people experiencing gambling harms.

Role Responsibility

  • Coordinate a diary of remote and face-to-face training sessions to maximise bookings
  • Contribute to the development of bespoke training sessions for specific sectors or cohorts
  • Deliver high-quality, consistent training to audiences across a range of sectors to lead to gambling harm reduction
  • Collate feedback from learners to feed into the Programme’s evaluation through the use of debriefs, evaluation forms and follow-up
  • Feed into stakeholder mapping and data collection

The Ideal Candidate

As the successful candidate, you and your colleagues will help deliver the GAP programme, ensuring it meets the needs of diverse audiences across the seven sectors, delivering high quality training every time.

As a trainer with demonstrable experience of designing and delivering training to a wide range of audiences, you will have honed your skills in facilitation, time management, and communication, which will have given you the tools to deliver impactful, behaviour-changing training.

Package Description

Full time 35 hours, Fixed Term linked to funding

Home-based, with some nationwide travel to deliver training sessions and occasional attendance at the London office (approx. once per quarter)
