We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide care and assistance to individuals in need. In their own homes. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in improving the lives of those you serve. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Duties
– Provide personal care and support to individuals, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Talking and listening to clients.
– Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met
– Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
– Assist with mobility and transfers, using hoist and other moving & handling equipment. Training will be provided.
– Monitor and report changes in the individual’s condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
– Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
– Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals
Qualifications
– Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
– Compassionate and caring nature
– Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and their families
– Must speak good English.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
– Knowledge of senior care or nursing home procedures is a plus
