£40.3k – £43.73k per annum

Job Introduction

This is an exciting moment to join GamCare, and opportunity to play a supportive role in the delivery of GamCare’s external communications, including managing a range of communications channels and ensuring that the needs of people experiencing gambling-related harm are at the heart of our work.

In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with colleagues who are leading on various areas of work. This could include supporting our education and outreach programmes for example, our Money Guidance and Youth programmes; or raising awareness of the support we provide to those affected by gambling harm.

You’ll be managing, and writing content for, a range of communications channels including but not limited to e-newsletters, web content and blogs, social media, briefings, scripts/comments for senior stakeholders, public letter correspondence.

You’ll also be supporting external events/webinars and some press work.

Main Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver targeted communications plans for lead areas which include building support for ideas, creating effective messaging and evaluating the impact of communications.
  • Oversee a wide range of communications projects, ensuring they are integrated with other comms activities and aligned with GamCare’s communications strategy and lead on a forward planner of activity for GamCare’s programmatic work
  • Oversee the production of high-quality written briefings, publications, presentations and other materials for a range of audiences including politicians, charities, professionals and other stakeholders
  • Work in partnership with other managers in the team who will lead on media, campaigns and digital engagement and others across GamCare to ensure high standards of communications.
  • Proactively research and commission case studies, quotes and photography and keep them, along with consent information centrally

The Ideal Candidate

As a collaborative team member, you’ll be used to working in a complex environment and producing high-quality requiring broad consensus from a range of stakeholders and be able to refine complex information into easy-to-understand messaging.

You’ll also have experience creating engaging content on a variety of mediums tailored to audiences, including digital platforms, to influence and improve reputation. And you’ll also be excited about the opportunities to develop great relationships across a range of stakeholders and looking forward to playing a key role in events and/or conferences or meetings.
