About the Role
As a Social Worker or Senior Social Worker in the Kinship Team, you will be responsible for conducting viability assessments, kinship carer assessments, Special Guardianship Order (SGO) assessments, and providing post-order support. The team sits within the broader fostering service, which was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (2022).
What You’ll Do
- Undertake viability and kinship carer assessments
- Complete SGO assessments and post-order support
- Support and advise kinship carers
- Work within Signs of Safety model (training provided)
- Contribute to improved outcomes for children and families
- Engage in trauma-informed practice and ongoing professional development
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience
- Current Social Work England registration
- Commitment to child-centred, creative, and transparent practice
- Experience in fostering, kinship, or child and family assessments is desirable
