Job Summary
Main duties of the job
The senior systems analyst will lead on the development and maintenance of integration solutions between key clinical systems using a number of technologies such as the trusts dedicated InterSystems Ensemble integration engine and in-house developed Microsoft SQL databases.
The post holder will work on IT projects for new system deployments, upgrades to existing systems and making changes to existing interfaces this will include liaising with trust clinical teams and system suppliers to implement the required agreed solutions.
This is both a senior and highly specialist technical role and the post holder will be expected to contribute to the technical expertise within the team and to broaden it through a wide technical experience as well as work at a more senior level in the implementation of policies within the team. Practical technical experience will be required.
The senior systems analyst will be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and must be able to show high levels of prolonged concentration and use of own initiative and have the ability to take ownership of project tasks and follow these through to completion. The post holder will take a proactive approach to error identification analysis and correction. This role is suitable for people that like a challenging role.
Please note: as part of this role you are required to be on-call as per rota, paid per session.
