An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Record to Report Accountant to support various EMEA markets.

Position Purpose

  • Support Global Financial Services (GFS) Market lead in tasks related to accounting / tax and drive interaction between local accounting team and GFS partners.
  • Manage, co-ordinate & execute the end-to-end GFS processes executed in delivery centres.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations and prepare quarterly balance sheet review.
  • Monitor and coordinate month end related activities per Month End Close Timetable.
  • Act as main point of contact for the market and for above market functions.
  • Coordinate with outsourcing partner to ensure their assigned tasks are executed timely and to a high standard.
  • Support external audits, preparing samples as required by the auditors, and coordinating requests with other departments.
  • Support on ad hoc requests from supported markets.
  • Prepare submissions as required by local authorities eg intrastat, statistical reports
  • Execute legal entity budgets and projections.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct ad hoc projects and unusual assignments.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external parties.

Required Skills & Desired Experience

  • Degree in accounting or equivalent business experience
  • AAT qualified/ ACCA or CIMA part- or fully qualified
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Fluent in English. Another European would highly desirable
  • Excellent computer skills with competencies in major ERP platforms (preference SAP).
  • Excellent knowledge of record to report processes in a multinational company.
  • Experience of audit and year end close process.
