Media.Monks is looking for a Manager, Media Strategy & Planning candidate. This candidate is able to dive into media and consumer research, analyze business data and objectives and carve out opportunities. From there, this individual will be able to translate those insights into detailed media plans and work with teams to bring them to life. About the client:

Kraken, a recent win for the agency, is a popular cryptocurrency exchange founded in 2011. It is one of the oldest and most respected exchanges in the cryptocurrency industry. We manage full end to end services (from strategy to activation) for the client which is managed globally, but this role will be focused on the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own daily and weekly client interaction; facilitating client calls and in-person meetings to handle one off requests/questions and to share campaign performance details.
  • Be the Internal champion for our client’s goals, coordinating closely with the Activation team who are responsible for implementing campaign optimizations and improving performance.
  • Lead campaign strategies and partner closely with client teams at Meta, TikTok, Google, Twitter, Amazon, Snapchat, Pinterest and other platforms.
  • Work closely with Media Analytics teams to track outcomes and pivot as necessary.
  • Utilizes media research tools and resources to influence strategic media recommendations, including but not limited to demographic data, reach & frequency, audience composition, competitive insights, and marketplace trends.
  • Works in partnership with Media Operations and Investment teams to ensure flawless execution of strategies, including appropriate financial stewardship.
  • Daily management of the entire media output for assigned clients, including meetings and communications across buying teams, account management, measurement and senior clients.
  • Ability to assemble and present materials for new business and media pitching activity; Participate in regional growth within Media including thought leadership and pitching.
  • Partner with creative teams (either internally or at client partner agencies) to translate creative territories to media executions.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of media planning and strategy experience within a paid media agency.
  • Ability to analyze complex data including audiences, market mix, market and sales information, competitive reporting.
  • Strong experience in digital and traditional media from strategy to execution – including a strong understanding of local marketplace dynamics.
  • Knowledge and experience across EMEA markets.
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling ability.
  • Ability to uncover the bigger picture in media objectives and translate this to tactical execution.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated track record of success managing large-scale media budgets with excellent financial stewardship
  • Strong working knowledge of critical tools, including: Nielsen, GWI, Kantar, MediaOcean, Pathmatics, YouGov, Statista, Google Trends, SEMRush etc.
