Registered General Nurse – Orthopaedic Scrub Theatre Practitioner

The salary for this permanent Registered General Nurse job is £38,000 – £39,000per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Participate in the preparation, cleaning and sterilisation of all surgical equipment that will be used
  • Take part in continuous professional development in order to maintain up to date, relevant knowledge and skills
  • Ensuring accurate records of surgical procedures and patient care are kept
  • Set up the operating room when appropriate and make sure everything is sterile and safe ready for surgery to proceed

Requirements of the Orthopaedic Scrub Theatre Practitioner:

  • NMC Registration
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a scrub nurse in orthopaedic surgery
  • Knowledge of infection control policies and procedures
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotations
  • Excellent knowledge of surgical procedures and instruments
