We are committed to promoting independence, inclusion, and quality of life for our residents. As part of our continued growth and commitment to excellence, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our residential care home service.

Position Overview:

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care and support to individuals living at Mountview. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our services meet regulatory requirements, promote individual choice and independence, and enhance the overall well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities:

Provide strong professional leadership and management oversight to a team of support staff, ensuring the delivery of compassionate, responsive, and safe care services.

Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and quality frameworks.

Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents needs, preferences and goals to inform the development of individualised care and support plans.

Collaborate closely with residents, their families, advocates, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and review care plans, ensuring that they are person-centered, flexible, and responsive to evolving needs.

Lead recruitment, selection, training, and performance management processes for support staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning.

Monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of service delivery through regular audits, assessments, and feedback mechanisms, implementing improvements as necessary.

Act as a key liaison with external stakeholders, including local authorities, health and social care professionals, community organisations, and advocacy groups, to facilitate coordinated care and support services.

Ensure that all documentation, records, and reporting requirements are maintained accurately and in accordance with regulatory standards and organisational policies.

Stay abreast of developments in the field of learning disabilities and best practice models and apply knowledge to enhance service delivery and outcomes.

Qualifications:

Registered Manager with relevant qualifications and registration with the appropriate regulatory body. Ideally a level 5 or working towards. Must have previous experience of working within a similar setting.

Must have professional experience of managing support staff.

Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within the learning disability sector, preferably residential based setting.

Comprehensive understanding of learning disabilities, person-centred approaches, and principles of empowerment, inclusion, and rights-based practice.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a small team and build effective relationships with residents, families and stakeholders.

Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and quality standards governing social care provision, including CQC (Care Quality Commission) standards.

Ability to manage resources effectively, prioritise competing demands and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8am to 4pm
  • Plus ‘on-call’ out of hours
