We are now looking for a R&D Director to join our growing R&D team.
What our R&D Director will do
As Research & Development Director you will drive the product group strategy, overseeing the successful design and release of the future generation of Power MOSFET product families and technology platforms. Reporting to the Senior R&D Director you will:
- Lead, develop and motivate a growing team of highly skilled engineers and experts dedicated to the release of industry leading Power MOSFET product portfolios
- Drive, define and manage execution of the future product roadmap
- Ensure that new product releases meet manufacturability, reliability, customer, and market requirements in collaboration with product marketing, process development, assembly and industrial functions
- Act as a technical leader and provide technical guidance across the organisation, coaching and mentoring team members
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with senior management, participating in activities between many functions including the wafer fab, assembly, test, quality, applications, and business groups
What you will need
- Experience of leading an R&D team in a semiconductor environment
- Proven track record of driving and delivering projects on time in a managerial capacity
- A solid general understanding of semiconductor device physics, characterisation, and process flow
- Some understanding of Power MOSFETs including electrical operation, device physics,wafer fabrication processes, packaging flows, reliability methods, characterisation, and failure modes
- Skilled in data analysis, resolving technical issues, understanding of TCAD simulation, and driving pathfinding activities
- Able to communicate complex concepts and requirements clearly and to influence stakeholders at all levels
