Program Management Manager (Visa Sponsorship Available)

Caterpillar Inc is currently hiring qualified individuals who meet the requirements below to fill the role of Program Management Manager.

About the Role

The Program Management Manager for Large Electric Power will be managing a team responsible for the controlling, scheduling, and task management for a global portfolio of high visibility complex programs and projects for the Containerized Genset product line. Incumbent will manage the solutions side of the business, partnering with customers to design custom product solutions. This is a team leader role, managing a diverse team globally.

Main Duties

  • Facilitate projects, lead critical meetings, develop/validate network diagrams, lead integration and compression sessions.
  • Design, establish, and monitor the organization’s project management goals.
  • Collaborate with clients on using a disciplined project management and project controls approach and coach them on their project-related roles and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with Power Solutions Network teams to keep projects on track.

Requirements

  • Resource Management: Understanding of the intricacies of Electric Power projects and the tools and resources needed to manage projects effectively.
  • Ability to plan, mobilize, and distribute resources to fulfill business objectives and plans.
  • Competency in MS Project, POL, and/or Power BI report.
  • Budgeting: Ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget.
  • Participates in developing budget adjustment procedures and practices.
  • Develops and manages large and important budgets.
  • Conflict Management: Ability to anticipate, recognize, and deal effectively with existing or potential conflicts at the individual, group, or situation level.
  • Practices positive collaboration and converts difficult interactions into productive ones.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Assesses and validates decision options and points and predicts their potential impact.
  • Advises others in analyzing and synthesizing relevant data and assessing alternatives.
  • Ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
  • Delivers well-received presentations of cost, benefits, risks, and other considerations.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Addresses potential conflicts that impact current delivery commitments.
  • Cross-Team Integration: Ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate, coordinate work across divisions, and collaborate in solving problems as one team.
  • Experience leading diverse teams.
  • Planning and Organizing: Ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
  • Updates stakeholders on potential changes; re-negotiates requirements as necessary.
  • Identifies the critical goals and tasks required to meet daily objectives.
  • Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science or finance desired.

Additional Information

  • Up to 25% travel is required for this role.
  • Visa sponsorship available for eligible applicants.
  • 25 days annual leave

  • Contributory pension scheme – Caterpillar will double the employee’s contribution up to 10%.
  • Contributory share scheme – Caterpillar will match 50% of the employee’s contribution.
