Patient Services Assistant- catering

Job Details:

DSFS are looking to recruit the right candidate for the role of  Patient Services Assistant, who are to provide patient catering services for the Patient Services Department which is within the facilities division.

The role involves the delivery of patient meals and drinks to ward-based patients.

The hours of work are on a rota basis and are:-

16 hours 15:00 – 19:30 4 shifts per week 

16 hours 15:00 – 19:30 4 shifts per week 

18 hours 08:00 – 14:30 3 shifts per week 

DUAL 20 hours 15:00 – 19:30 5 shifts per week 

The rota will be based on 10 weekly, including some weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

Catering duties will be to provide a high standard of food and drink service to ward areas within Chesterfield Royal Hospital.  Other duties include ensuring all kitchen areas are cleaned efficiently and promptly to the required specified standards in line with Trust policy and ensuring patient’s meals are served efficiently to assure food quality and to meet the required specification in line with Trust policy.

The Patient Services Department is committed to providing ongoing training on various topics about the job description. No previous experience is required as full in-house training will be provided for delivering patient meals and cleaning kitchens.
