DSFS Ltd are looking to recruit into the post of Patient Services Assistant Administrator Supervisor on a 30 hour per week contract.

The post holder will provide administrative support to the Patient Catering and Domestic Services team directly, working alongside other administrative colleagues in the team.

This is a fast paced and varied role. The post holder will have the opportunity to build relationships with a wide group of colleagues. The job role activities are varied, and workload can be sporadic

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills as the role will involve the coordination and implementation of office procedures. This will require a high degree of organisational skills and excellent working knowledge of administration systems.

The post holder will often be the first point of contact and a focal point for the services requiring clear communication and liaison skills.

They will be responsible for prioritising various administrative duties e.g. organising meetings and informal minute taking, electronic filing, updating staff health roster system, document formatting, compliance data collation, financial ordering/invoices processing, and data input on various digital systems.

Previous experience in a busy administrative setting, using Microsoft office outlook, word and excel is essential. Additional experience working within Facilities Management within an NHS setting would be advantageous.

Qualifications and Training

Essential criteria
  • •GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
  • •Basic food hygiene qualification
  • •NVQ level 3 in relevant subject
  • •Must be willing to attain ILM qualification
Desirable criteria
  • •Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
  • •ILM or equivalent attained
  • •BTEC Infection Control Intermediate

Experience

Essential criteria
  • •Previous supervisory experience in a similar environment
  • •Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • •Ability to lead a team
  • •Able to work under pressure and on own initiative
  • •Basic knowledge of Health and Safety/Food Safety
Desirable criteria
  • •Experience of working with domestic and catering teams within an acute hospital
