Oncology Implementation Lead – London and the South of East Anglia

£40k – £53k per annum

Job Details:

The Oncology Implementation Lead (OIL) will be a hybrid promotional and non-promotional role which aims to drive ‘clinical belief’, ‘system readiness’ and diagnosis & ‘treatment rate’. Their activities will be driven via the local and regional plan and account segmentation at a trust level.

In collaboration and alignment with the XFT, the OIL will partner with key accounts and the wider health economy in order to deliver on the pan tumour strategy to ensure all appropriate patients gain appropriate treatment options.

The OIL will report to the Implementation Lead Manager with ~ 80% of time spent with customers

Core customer engagement and planning responsibilities:

Customer understanding, opportunity assessment, planning, strategic understanding & cross functional collaboration

  • Create clear customer and account strategies based on available insights
  • Identify customers & stakeholders; understand their perspective, our competitors, the environment and their unmet and evolving needs within the therapeutic areas
  • Implement collaborative opportunities within key accounts that will enable a higher volume of patients to receive treatment options
  • Provide accurate, up to date local intelligence and feedback as required to inform key internal stakeholders and local teams to support our plans
  • OIL’s will understand local strategies relevant to the RBP, in collaboration with the Oncology Healthcare Lead (OHL) to implement local pathway optimisation which supports appropriate patient identification, diagnosis and treatment across the healthcare system
  • Leverage cross-functional ONECOLOGY team to ensure cross functional sharing of best practice and subject matter experts are involved in planning and execution

Customer in call effectiveness

  • Strong focus on in call effectiveness and driving behavioural change
  • Strong understanding of the implementation process for pathway and capacity optimisation
  • Develop tailored customer level objectives

Patient Pathway

  • Optimize current patient pathways including biomarker and diagnostic challenges
  • Identify and solve issues that result in low treatment rates for patients
  • Implement key activities to identify and solve patient pathway issues e.g. pathway development programme (PDP)
  • OILs will understand strategies to develop patient pathway protocol and guidelines in collaboration with colleagues based on local pathway insights and performance

Data Literacy

  • Track progress of account priorities and tactics and iterate plans accordingly

Other responsibilities related to core customer engagement and planning

  • Understand brand priorities and environment for each account and implement strategies accordingly
  • Ensure HCPs have access to our company and collaboration products on prescribing systems (e.g. Bluetech, Chemocare)
