About the Role

This Band 5 position offers rotational experience across a variety of hospital departments. You will assess and treat patients with a wide range of clinical conditions, supporting their recovery and promoting independence through evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct clinical assessments and deliver individualised treatment plans
Promote patient well-being and maximise functional independence
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care
Manage caseload effectively within a fast-paced environment
Apply SAFER discharge principles and enable positive risk-taking

Essential Requirements

BSc or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
HCPC registration (or currently applying)
Awareness of health and social care legislation
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of occupational therapy models of practice

Desirable Skills

Accredited wheelchair prescriber
Practice educator qualification
UK driving licence
Previous NHS or acute care experience
