We’re looking for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join an exceptional team. This role offers a unique work-life balance, with 7 nights on and 14 nights off rotation. With ample time to dedicate to patients and their owners, you’ll play a crucial role in providing top-tier care.

Exciting developments are underway, including the installation of a CT scanner, making us the first practice in the area to offer this advanced diagnostic capability. Our comprehensive facilities include laparoscopy, endoscopy, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and a full lab, among others. Continuous professional development is actively encouraged with opportunities for fully funded certificate studies in various specialties.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Perform surgical procedures and conduct pre and post-operative assessments.
  • Develop treatment plans and provide client education.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment effectively.
  • Prescribe medication and administer vaccinations.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and policies.
  • Maintain accurate medical records.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • BVetMed or equivalent qualification.
  • RCVS registration.
  • Strong surgical skills and knowledge of anaesthesia protocols.
  • Compassionate care and strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic equipment usage.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Critical thinking skills for diagnosis and decision-making.
  • Commitment to ethical veterinary practice.
