Rampton Hospital is seeking dedicated Male Healthcare Assistants to support patients with complex mental health and learning disability needs. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a secure hospital environment delivering meaningful care and therapeutic support. Visa sponsorship is not guaranteed due to current salary limitations under UK Skilled Worker visa rules.

About the Role

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital part in supporting patient wellbeing, safety, and recovery. You’ll work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to maintain a high standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients with complex needs
Facilitate and participate in therapeutic or meaningful activities on the ward
Escort patients on out-of-grounds visits as part of treatment programs
Accurately carry out and record clinical observations under supervision
Collaborate with patients, their families, carers, and healthcare professionals
Promote patient dignity, respect, and safety at all times
Support patients’ recovery through a psychological, occupational, and educational care approach

Understand the unique environment and responsibilities of Rampton Hospital
Have experience or awareness of working with individuals with mental health conditions or learning disabilities
Exhibit professionalism, empathy, and a responsible approach to patient care
Are male, due to the specific needs of the patient population in this unit

Important Visa Information

Please note:

This role does not meet the minimum salary requirement for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
Applicants without prior NHS experience will start at the bottom of Band 2 under Agenda for Change pay scale.
