The Role
This pivotal new role will showcase our commitment to fostering sustainability by harnessing and disseminating knowledge. We are seeking a curious and talented Lead Data Scientist to spearhead data-driven decision-making, enhance business intelligence and manage data collection. You will conduct trend analysis, optimise performance metrics and creatively communicate insights for the business. This role will collaborate closely with our Impact and Advocacy Team to drive positive change through informed data strategies.

Job Requirements
As our Lead Data Scientist at Oxygen House Limited, you’ll be at the forefront of our mission.
Your responsibilities will include:
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and collect relevant data sources.
- Verifying and contextualising sustainability statistics.
- Clean, and analyse data to derive actionable insights.
- Utilise statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets.
Visualisation Design and Development:
- Design and create visually compelling and interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualisations.
- Use tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or other relevant platforms to present complex data in an accessible and user-friendly format.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver visualisations that effectively communicate insights.
Data Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain data quality standards and processes.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
- Collaborate with IT and other teams to address data quality issues promptly.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data analysis and visualisation.
- Recommend and implement improvements to data collection processes and visualisation techniques.
- Actively contribute to the development and enhancement of our data analytics capabilities.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with internal teams to understand their data requirements and provide timely support.
- Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate data visualisation solutions into existing workflows.
About you
- You’re inquisitive about data, thrive with collaborating with other teams, and you’ll push the boundaries in creating data visually.
- Proven experience in data analysis and visualisation, with proficiency in tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python, R) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of climate change, threats posed to our natural word, and the importance of sustainable business practices in tackling these.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, work standards & ethics capable of building trust through consistent delivery of successful project.
