Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced IT Support professional to join our team. As an IT Support, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our internal users. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, supporting a wide range of technologies and systems.

· Communication: As an IT Support Technician, you must be able to communicate technical information effectively to people with varying degrees of technical knowledge. You should also have excellent listening skills to understand the root cause of any problem.

· Patience: You may find yourself dealing with frustrated or non-technical colleagues or clients, which requires a good deal of patience and empathy.

· Problem-solving: IT Support Technicians must have strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

· Adaptability: IT Support Technicians often must adapt to new technologies and environments. You must be comfortable learning new technologies and can adjust to working in different settings.

Collaboration: Being able to work collaboratively with all staff members across the business.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

· Respond to user inquiries through the Service Desk, troubleshoot technical problems, and provide effective solutions for hardware, software, and network issues.

· Install, configure, and maintain hardware components and software applications, ensuring they are up-to-date and secure.

· Develop and deliver user training sessions, create, and update documentation for troubleshooting, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.

· Provide remote and on-site assistance for users, addressing issues through phone, email, and remote desktop tools.

· Use monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential system issues and perform routine system maintenance tasks to optimise performance.

· Collaborate with other IT professionals to escalate and resolve complex technical problems, contributing to a cohesive and efficient IT support team.

· Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware, operating systems, and software.

· Administer access, permissions, and privileges.

· Maintain clear and concise documentation of IT internal and user-facing process

· Monitor hardware and software inventory and keep key IT equipment in stock.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required (ideally minimum 2 years).

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Strong computer literacy.

· Previous experience using ticketing software such as ServiceNow.

· Installing, configuring, and using a variety of operating systems (Windows 10, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux).

· Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily.
