About the role
You will be part of the Information Security Operations team in a highly dynamic and innovative environment helping the business secure its systems and infrastructure. This is a highly motivated and passionate team with broad experiences, who are happy to mentor and be mentored! The team’s goal is to minimise the impact of cybersecurity incidents, provide practical guidance for the response, coordinate recovery activities, and work to prevent future incidents from reoccurring. Contributing to this goal could include developing new alerts, improving the fidelity of existing alerts, improving the investigative tools, and extending detection to new platforms.
Other responsibilities will include: responding to security incidents, requests and events to ensure that threats and breaches are managed to minimise impact on confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems and data. Analysing security and log data, malicious code, and network traffic to identify potential threats. Produce dashboards and reports to continuously improve security situational awareness, keeping up-to-date with the current security and threat landscape. Data analysis and security KPI reporting and tracking security incidents, security assessments and actions from security audits.
About you
You will have great attention to detail and an ability to spot trends; this is crucial to gain insight into complex, often global, problems. You’ll have a broad understanding of security concepts, with a passion for Cyber Security. You’ll have experience within an enterprise-level SOC function, with general knowledge of Network and Application Protocols, and a solid understanding of security devices such as SIEM, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems. You’ll also be able to analyse and identify malicious traffic, with experience using Splunk or equivalent (creating dashboards, writing stored queries). You will have knowledge of common security vulnerabilities, technical knowledge to assess their severity and impact, and an understanding of data leak prevention concepts and controls. Experience in at least one of the following Cloud technology areas is required: GCP/AWS/Azure.
