Job Details:
Due to rapid expansion in our organisation, we are recruiting an Information Governance Officer to join us to develop and implement a robust information governance framework for the organisation.
This is a newly created opportunity and would suit someone who is a confident communicator with a proactive attitude who can work collaboratively as part of a growing team.
The Information Governance Officer role is an important one where you will work collaboratively with our Data Protection Manager. You will develop effective information governance processes to meet statutory and regulatory requirements and assist in the coordination of policy review cycles.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the information governance work plan and will support the work of the organisation’s information governance committee. Where required, you will provide advice and guidance on information governance related matters to colleagues. You will also contribute to the development of data protection guidance and training workshops.
About You
You will have a good understanding of the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act and the ability to grasp technical concepts. You will also be adaptable and methodical in the management of your workload and have excellent planning and organisational skills.
We are looking for someone to be a champion for the promotion of robust, ethical, and effective information governance processes, and you will have experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure their compliance with, and understanding of, data protection requirements.
You will also have prior experience of delivering training and workshops.
