Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Administration
- Drafting and publishing job adverts
- Shortlisting candidates and scheduling interviews
- Issuing employment offers and contracts
- Completing right-to-work, CEST, and reference checks
Onboarding & Contract Management
- Monitoring probation periods and expiring contracts
- Issuing contract changes and updating payroll
- Ensuring compliance with visa and sponsorship requirements
Visa Compliance
- Verifying immigration status for non-UK nationals
- Monitoring visa expiry dates and managing renewals
- Advising on UKVI regulations for legal work eligibility
- Storing recruitment records as required for sponsorship
Grievance & Disciplinary Support
- Taking notes during disciplinary meetings
- Preparing formal letters and outcome documentation
- Supporting Heads of Departments and liaising with legal advisors
HR Record Keeping
- Updating employee databases and staff lists
- Maintaining accurate personnel files
- Auditing and improving existing HR processes
Policy & Process Improvement
- Maintaining up-to-date HR documentation and employee handbook
- Supporting internal audits and compliance reviews
- Producing data reports and analytics for leadership
General HR Administration
- Managing sick leave, maternity/paternity entitlements
- Supporting the Annual Review Process
- Preparing training materials and onboarding sessions
- Promoting staff wellbeing and mental health awareness
What You’ll Need
- A university degree or CIPD qualification (or working towards it)
- Experience managing HR processes across recruitment, compliance, and employee relations
- Proven experience with UK visa sponsorship processes
- Strong communication, organisation, and IT skills
- Familiarity with GDPR and data protection best practices
- Experience in an educational setting is highly desirable
