The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is hiring Healthcare Assistants to support patient care in our Emergency Department (ED)—working across areas such as Majors, Minors, Resus, and See & Treat.

Role Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care under the supervision of qualified nursing staff
Assist in clinical duties across ED zones, including triage and trauma areas
Support both adult and paediatric patients with various conditions
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to care protocols
Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Uphold patient dignity, safety, and confidentiality at all times
Participate in staff development, mandatory training, and trust-wide initiatives
Assist with improving patient experience through compassionate care

What You’ll Need to Apply

✅ 6+ months of HCA experience (hospital or care setting)
✅ Completed Care Certificate (or equivalent qualification)
✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
✅ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
✅ Committed to the NHS core values of respect, integrity, and transparency
✅ Right to work in the UK or eligible for Tier 2 visa sponsorship
