We are a busy Emergency department seeing on average of 300 patients per day,  and we are looking to recruit Healthcare assistants to enhance our patients care and experience.

Main Duties Of The Job

We are a busy Emergency department seeing on average over 300 patients per day,  and we are looking to recruit Healthcare assistants to enhance our patients care and experience.

We offer a comprehensive training opportunities and have developed in house Dementia training course and we are currently running a Mental Health programme, with the Mental Health team and outside agencies and this offered to all our HCA’s and RN’s. We also work along side other external agencies to improve our patient care including Starrs and Frailty team

We are also looking to recruit HCA’s with an interest in paediatric emergency service within our department to develop our play service and distraction therapies

If you are interested in high standards of patient care, have good communication skills and are highly motivated you would enjoy working within this  team. It would be desirable that you would have already had some experience within the healthcare profession,  due to the demands and work load of our deparment

Education

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCSE/GCE/ O’Level or
Desirable criteria
  • • GCSE Level or equivalent in English and Maths – Level 2 NVQ in healthcare

Experience

Essential criteria
  • • The basic elements of personal care.Working in a caring capacity,residential or nursing home or hospital environment
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience of monitoring vital signs
