Job Description:

Towy Ward at Glangwili General Hospital is a 20 bedded ward within Unscheduled Care which specialises in Cardiology and Endocrinology, which could offer you the opportunity to develop and expand your existing knowledge and skills.

There are various full and part-time hours available. Hours include nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Band 2 Health Care Support Workers. You would be working alongside an established team in Unscheduled Care. We are a friendly, supportive team delivering high standards of care and clinical excellence.You will ensure that patients/clients receive safe, individualised and effective standards of care by following care plans and treatment interventions, as directed by the registered nurse. You will communicate effectively at all times and in conjunction with other team members, contributing to and maintaining the ward philosophy. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. • Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
