We are a diverse, agile and highly-resourced team, empowered to push the boundaries of what’s possible in our highly automated warehouse systems. Our remit is to design, develop and support innovative automated charging systems which feed our fleet of autonomous bots. We’re looking for outstanding, enthusiastic engineers to join us, at the start of what promises to be an exciting, challenging push to engineer 100% automated, completely unmanned grocery fulfilment centers.

What would I be doing?

  • Developing products from initial concepts through to design, testing and production
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with other specialists on system architecture and strategic engineering direction, product specifications and roadmaps
  • Ensuring safety is design into systems to minimise risks and the relevant standards and regulations (national and international) are satisfied
  • Assisting with continuous improvement and RCA activities as required from problem statement and root cause analysis to solution proposal, trial and implementation
  • Conducting design reviews for new product designs and changes to existing designs from both internal and external design resources

What we are looking for

  • An Electronics Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
  • Extensive experience with hands-on electronics design and developing embedded designs from concept to manufacture
  • Proven track record of digital and analog design, including processors, communication buses (e.g. CAN or Ethernet) and sensors
  • Experience of simple PCB layout tasks and managing external layout engineers
  • Understanding of schematic capture and PCB layout using CAD tools

This would make you stand out from the crowd

  • Solid experience with Altium
  • Experience of rapid prototyping methods and volume manufacturing
  • Familiarity with active and passive components handling including ESD awareness
  • Experience with simulation of electronics systems
  • Experience of Power electronics
  • Worked actively on DFMEA and PFMEA
  • Familiarity with warehouse automation or other automation industries
  • Experience in live production scenarios
  • Experience of working with Lithium Batteries and Chargers
