Job Details:

We are looking for an Economic Analyst to join our London office, to work with our Economist and Chief Economist.

The Analyst’s responsibilities will include:

• Analysing the key economics with a specific focus on European, US and Japanese markets
• Independently conducting economic studies, interpreting and projecting economic trends, and developing economic forecasts
• Following and developing expertise in Bank and Capital Markets regulations in various markets
• Making macro-economic forecasts of the key economic indicators over different time frames and productive scenario analysis
• Sourcing and maintaining databases as well as report generation and analysis
• Additional ad hoc research projects as required to support the work of trading teams and the CIO
• Have the skills and intellectual curiosity to conduct independent research alongside other multiple research tasks

• A recent graduate, or someone with 0-2 years’ of experience
• A quantitative degree (e.g. in Maths, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Finance etc.)
• Programming experience
• Sound understanding of the interaction between economic and financial markets
• Ability to balance macro-economic theory soft sills with quantitative econometric hard skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
