The Director, of C&B EMEA, has proven experience across C&B, however, initially, the focus is to strengthen EMEA benefits programs. You will provide expertise in the strategic design, implementation, communication and administration of the benefits programs in EMEA.

The Director, C&B EMEA will work with regional and country management, HR and broker partners to ensure programs are market-based, comply with local laws and regulations and align with Company objectives. Ultimately, you will develop the EMEA benefits operating model putting the right people, process and governance in place.

This role reports to the Vice President (VP), Global Total Rewards and can be located anywhere within EMEA. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership and executive potential to achieve further career growth in Kimberly-Clark.

Key Relationships: Compensation, Benefits, Legal, Finance, HR and HRIS

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assess the current total rewards program in EMEA (with an emphasis on benefits), determine an action plan for the region and execute that plan
  • Partner with EMEA leadership to effect change and drive results in key business areas
  • Develop a leading benefits program by instilling governance, compliance, operating models and managing broker & vendor relationships
  • Serve as a consultative and technical resource for HR and region/country leaders on compensation and benefits across EMEA
  • Develop and lead benefits processes and global wellbeing initiatives across EMEA
  • Design and implement locally driven compensation and benefits plans
  • Assist with benchmarking of programs and processes against external, industry-leading best practices
  • Drive harmonization and standardization of compensation and benefits programs and processes locally
  • Ensure all benefits and compensation programs (salary, short and long-term incentive plans) comply with local laws and regulations, align with the competitive market, and support Company objectives
  • Work with Corporate, regional leaders, country management and HR to design local short-term incentive plans (short-term incentive plans include local management plans and sales incentive plans)
  • Execute annual compensation process for EMEA which includes base pay, short-term incentives, and long-term incentives
  • Keep up to date on rewards and benefits market trends and the regulatory environment
  • Look for opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiencies while maintaining a high level of service to our business leaders and managers in EMEA
  • Manage a team of Compensation and Benefits professionals in EMEA
  • Integrate and work effectively with Corporate and regional compensation and benefit teams


  • BA Degree with a Masters’s or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in international benefits and compensation within EMEA
  • Proven ability to lead a regional compensation & benefits organization within a large, global, matrixed organization; manufacturing and US HQ’d company experience is an added advantage
  • Ability to think strategically regarding compensation and benefit plans
  • In-depth benefits knowledge and demonstrated understanding of governance, compliance, operating models and broker relationships
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment prioritizing workload and performing multiple tasks under accelerated deadlines
  • Broad understanding of management styles, legal, and employment issues in EMEA
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence, collaborate and partner with EMEA leadership to effect change and drive results in key business areas
  • High integrity, interpersonal and relationship skills, along with a proven ability to lead others and form relationships with diverse teams
  • Strong consultation skills with the ability to partner with key stakeholders and provide quality advice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively lead and develop a team of Compensation and Benefits professionals
  • Ability to travel internationally up to and including 30% once it is safe to do so
