Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in the effective management and delivery of domiciliary care services. The Deputy Manager will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained, regulatory compliance is adhered to, and the operational efficiency of the service is optimized.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting Service Delivery:

· Assist in the coordination and management of domiciliary care services, ensuring they are delivered in accordance with individual care plans, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

· Oversee the allocation of care staff to clients, considering factors such as skill level, experience, and client preferences.

· Conduct regular reviews of care plans and risk assessments, making necessary adjustments to meet changing needs and preferences.

Staff Management and Development:

· Provide leadership, guidance, and support to care staff, promoting a positive working culture that values teamwork, respect, and professionalism.

· Participate in the recruitment and selection of care staff, including conducting interviews, carrying out inductions, and facilitating training and development opportunities.

· Conduct regular supervision, appraisal, and performance management of care staff, addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and constructive manner.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

· Assist in the implementation and monitoring of quality assurance systems and processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality care services that meet regulatory standards and contractual requirements.

· Conduct audits, spot checks, and service evaluations to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.

· Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice guidelines, maintaining accurate records and documentation as required.

Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

Build positive and collaborative relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders, ensuring their needs, preferences, and feedback are listened to and acted upon.

Respond promptly and effectively to complaints, concerns, and compliments, seeking resolution and learning opportunities where applicable.

Work closely with the Registered Manager to identify opportunities for service expansion, development, and improvement based on market trends and client demand.

Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience in a supervisory within the domiciliary care sector is preferred.

NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care (or working towards) is desirable.

Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, such as CQC (Care Quality Commission) standards and legislation relevant to domiciliary care services in the UK.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

Good organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to service delivery.

Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
