Job summary
The unders 18’s Eating Disorders Service is seeking a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker to undertake a range of clinical activities within the Eating Disorders Service.
This role will be based in Bury St Edmunds with the post holder working 18 hours a week.
You must have a strong knowledge of working with service users under 18 and those with an Eating Disorder.
Main duties of the job
Clinical Support Workers undertake a range of activities to support the work of the team. This includes supporting the implementation of positive behavioural support plans. Undertaking home visits and supporting young people and their families.
Within this role clinicians work with minimal supervision, but under the direction of the senior clinicians including Nurses and Psychologists.
The degree of involvement will be determined by a Registered Practitioner or Assistant Practitioner who will assess the extent of supervision required, having considered the particular circumstances and assessed the post holder’s experience.
You will observe, report and record any changes, which may indicate an alteration in the patient’s wellbeing as well as any routine observations required and converse with patients and their relatives/carers in a positive and respectful manner.
