About the Role
Are you a skilled Chinese cuisine and sushi chef looking for an exciting opportunity in the UK? We’re hiring a passionate Chinese & Sushi Chef to join our busy kitchen. This is a full-time, permanent role offering Skilled Worker visa sponsorship, job security, and an attractive salary package.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare authentic Chinese dishes using stir-fry, steam, braising, and deep-frying methods.
- Create high-quality sushi including nigiri, maki rolls, sashimi, and signature specialties.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards at all times.
- Assist in inventory control, workstation maintenance, and kitchen prep tasks.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team, especially during high-volume periods.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff when necessary.
Requirements
Essential:
- Level 4 Certificate in Chinese Culinary Arts OR at least 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
- Proven expertise in both traditional Chinese cooking and sushi preparation.
- Excellent knife handling and food presentation skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic spoken English (minimum B1 level preferred).
- Must be eligible for UK Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship.
