Data is intrinsic in everything we do across the firm – from audits to transformations, we can’t deliver to our clients or continue to grow our firm without it. That’s why we have established a Chief Data Officer (CDO) and team. This team is charged with enabling the UK firms business priorities and growth with internal, client and third party data, such that it is trusted, protected, easy to use and provides insight.

We want to ‘make data everyone’s business’.

Purpose

Our Data Pioneers work across the firm to increase data literacy and unlock opportunities that data can present focusing on ‘Moments That Matter’. They inspire our people around the importance, power and potential of data.

Currently you could be a Digital Accelerator, an Applied Analytics Technologist, a Data Scientist, a Data Engineer, a Data Steward, a Data Owner or anyone specialising in the use of data in our firm.You’ll have a passion for data and want to work across the business to bring this to life.

Our Pioneers:

  • Build excitement around the firms data ambition aligned with our data principles
  • Inspire people to think big and aim high in their data aspirations
  • Are hands on with art of the possible and be able to deliver engaging demos / examples
  • Encourage and enthusiastically role-model the right data behaviours
  • Develop, maintain and share a cutting edge understanding of the latest data and related technological trends – with a particular focus on data products and services
  • Establish and maintain a relevant external network of contacts to maintain currency of expertise and contribute to PwC’s reputation as a leading thinker in the field
  • Encourage the sharing of best practices

  • Collaborative and prepared to network well across the firm
  • First hand client facing experience
  • Passionate about the possibilities and potential presented by data
  • Experience of facilitating informal networks towards common objectives and aims
  • Familiarity with agile ways of working
  • Strong understanding of data across its full lifecycle
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deliverables and stakeholders, whilst ensuring projects progress
  • Strong communicator and storyteller
  • Curiosity to learn, whilst displaying resilience, cultural awareness and a can-do attitude
