We are a firm of accountants providing accountancy and tax services in central London near Angel station. We are hiring a business development manager to identify and secure new business opportunities and nurture long-term client relationships for the accountancy firm. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, skilled negotiator, and persuasive communicator with a proven track record in business development, preferably within the professional services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy in line with the firm’s goals and objectives.

Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients through networking, cold calling, and targeted outreach.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling services.

Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that may impact the firm’s business development efforts.

Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to network with potential clients and stay abreast of market developments.

Track and report on business development activities, client interactions, and revenue targets, providing regular updates to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record in business development, preferably within the professional services sector for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Strong understanding of accountancy and financial services, including auditing, tax, and advisory.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Experience working in a UK-based accountancy firm is preferred.
