Your Role as a Midwife

As a Band 5 Midwife, you will be responsible for:

Supporting women throughout pregnancy, labour, and postnatal care (up to 10 days postpartum)
Delivering compassionate and safe care in both midwife-led and consultant-led environments
Working within multidisciplinary teams to handle complex and high-risk pregnancies
Promoting safe birthing practices and early bonding
Contributing to a positive, family-centred maternity experience

Requirements

BSc. in Midwifery or Midwifery Certification
Valid Nursing/Midwifery License (e.g., from Nursing Council of Jamaica or equivalent)
Minimum 12 Months Experience in acute care maternity settings
CBT Completed (Preferred but not mandatory)
IELTS/OET (Support for reimbursement provided)
