An exciting opportunity to work in a newly built hospital, in a JAG accredited Endoscopy unit.

We are looking for a full-time band 5 staff nurse, with endoscopy experience, to join our Endoscopy team at the QEH. You will be joining a well established and friendly team and will be given to opportunity to grow and develop as a nurse as a priority.

Main duties of the job

  • Assist in the delivery of a patient-centred, clinically effective and dynamic service from the patient’s admission, recovery to discharge.
  • Act as a role model for other staff.
  • Assist the clinicians in the endoscopy procedure rooms.
  • Contribute to the development of action plans, protocols and pathways to ensure continuous quality improvement of the service.
  • Using the knowledge skills framework progress personal and professional knowledge and skills.
  • Undertake the mentorship/superviosry role in support of learners.

The Endoscopy unit at Chasefarm is one of The Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust hospitals and is located in the beautiful green area of Enfield! Newly built hospital, under 5 years and very digitally engaged as it provides exceptional care to all patients.

The endoscopy unit boast technically advanced equipment and accessories to help in diagnosing and treating all gastroenterology, respiratory and colorectal patients. The unit is JAG accredited and display high standards of care .

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Duties include – admission, recovery, discharge of patients. Successful candidate will also be assisting mostly in the procedure rooms.
