Job Description
Halcyon have partnered with a major ship owner to deliver the search for an Assistant Manager – Fleet Optimisation.
Joining a growing team of specialists, as a subject matter expert, you will support the fleet’s vessel performance, efficiency and optimisation.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable with the sophisticated analysis of complex data sets, understands software and data engineering, and is able to work directly with the commercial and technical departments.

The successful candidate is likely to be a degree qualified Naval Architect, who has a solid understanding of the physical and operational factors which affect vessel performance, and is able to contribute to the technical and economic evaluation of green technologies, in new build and retrofit applications.
You will need to have a confident communication style, so that you can self-sufficiently coordinate and liaise with various internal stakeholders, as well as external services, hardware and systems/software suppliers.
The successful candidate should expect an extended induction to the organisation, in various global locations, for at least the first six months, after which you will be based in their London office.
