Summary
Sunlight Care Group is looking to recruit Care Workers for our clients based in London and the surrounding areas.
Sunlight Care Group is a CQC registered agency. We have offices in London, Surrey and Essex; with 24 hours a day, seven days a week out of hours service that is always contactable because we realise that the true test of an agency is covering the last-minute unforeseen needs of our clients.
About the role:
The role of the Care Worker is a diverse role and will be based around individual person-centered plans. You will be visiting people in their own homes to assist with household tasks, personal care and occasionally accompanying the client on visits to the doctor or hospital.
Care Workers are experienced support workers who help registered practitioners deliver healthcare services to people. These include a range of clinical and non-clinical healthcare or therapeutic tasks, under the direct or indirect supervision of the registered healthcare practitioner. The Care Worker provides high quality, compassionate healthcare, following standards, policies or protocols and always acting within the limits of their competence.
As a Care Worker, you will be providing hands on support to our Care Managers with induction programs, training and competency assessments. You will also mentor a team of Care Workers and work closely with the senior management team at our Head Office to provide support in the running of all day-to-day business operations and activities.
In addition to the above, you will also be providing a full range of personal care from assisting with washing and dressing in the morning to aiding with toileting during the day. On a different day, you might be assisting someone who is fully mobile but has dementia and requires assistance with cooking and cleaning. Your role is to facilitate their independence as much as possible and encourage their well-being at the same time. As Care Worker, you may be required to administer medications (for which you have been specifically trained to do so).

Essential:
No experience or qualifications are required as full training will be provided.
You will also have the opportunity to complete the Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
Desirable:
Care Certificate
Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
Experience in undertaking risk assessments.
Previous experience within a domiciliary care setting.
Understanding of regulations and legislation within the domiciliary care setting.
Understanding of safeguarding adults at risk.
Previous experience of leading or managing a team.
