Job Description
The Quality Manager supervises all manufacturing, operational and service activities to ensure the best quality. He/She develops and implements quality approaches (ISO certifications/audits, etc.) while ensuring consistency between the different structures and management. This position is integral to building a collaborative, high-performance culture and work team.
- Ensures that Safety culture is embedded in the day-to-day work as a first priority
- Owns full Budget responsibility and ensures proper reporting is delivered with maximum transparency
- Defines the site quality policy in alignment with the group and the site strategy
- Ensures communication of the quality policy to all employees
- Ensures that the quality system is compliant with the policy guidelines and properly updated
- Ensures process review and their improvement
- Guarantees the quality certification of the site
- Guarantees monitoring of supplier, production and customer quality
- Manages claim customer data base for both internal & external
- Manages technologies transfer
- Builds a culture of Continuous Improvement with Global Quality support to improve production KPIs
- Manages compliance to VCA including site COP audits
- Manages site SOP database and training records on-site
- Support site complaince on PQC reporting
- Manage site PAS approval for livestock tags with authorities
- Ensure compliance with local government agencies for livestock identification requirements
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required
- Knowledge of the quality tools (monitoring plans, quality system, etc.)
- Knowledge of the Quality certification standards
- Expertise in Continuous Improvement techniques (Kanban, Kaizen, Lean 6 sigma, TPM, SMED, etc.)
- Growth & Results oriented mindset with problem solving abilities
- Adaptable, open-minded and quick to respond with ability to plan ahead
- Transparent communication skills with good emotional intelligence
- Pragmatic, organised and methodical
- Proven Project management & Change management capabilities
- Fluent English
