An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Surgeon at a small animal practice located in Streatham. This South London district has lots to offer with good schools, a vast array of shops, bars and restaurants and plenty of recreational spots including the Ice and Leisure centre and Streatham Common known for its meadows, woodlands, picnic area and playground. Transport links to the City are excellent.
Our client is looking for Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team. You will be working closely with an experienced nursing team and Practice Principal to champion high standards of patient care within the practice. You will see a varied caseload on a daily basis which will allow less experienced Vet’s to hone their skills and will keep experienced Vets stimulated. Surgery is on a rotational basis and includes a mixture of soft tissue surgery, imaging and dentistry.
The practice is well-equipped offering many facilities including 3 consult rooms, a dedicated x-ray and ultrasound room, dentistry, a large modern theatre and a prep room, in house lab; dental machine and separate cattery and kennels. They also have the tools for basic orthopaedics available for suitably experienced candidates.
You will be joining the other 2 Vets (one of which is studying toward a soft tissue surgery) with a friendly and supportive team consisting of 1 RVN, 1 SVN, 1 ANA’s 4 receptionists and highly experienced practice principal. Providing gold standard care to their clients and their pets is the number 1 aim of the practice.
Career progression is actively encouraged for those looking to take that next step up the ladder. Our client also supports and encourages CPD/Certificates with certificate holders to learn from. They receive weekly visits from an Orthopaedic/Soft Tissue certificate holder and a visiting Cardiologist and Diagnostic imaging specialist on an ad hoc basis.
The ideal candidate will have post graduate experience and both Full Time and Part Time applicants are welcome.
The Rota:
• Full time and Part Time applicants welcome
• Full time position: Over 4/5 days per week, working a combination of early shifts (8am – 4.30pm) and late shifts (11am – 7.30pm)
• 1:3 Saturdays with a day in lieu
• No OOH
