Position SummaryThe Learning Experience Lead is accountable for the work of a global, multidisciplinary team responsible for executing the end-to-end learning creation process. This leader works closely with GL&D Client Facing Leaders and is accountable for oversight of learning creation of Enterprise and/or divisional/functional learning strategies at the global and local level with a total portfolio responsibility of over $25MM. They are accountable for ensuring the production of successful and timely learner experiences which build workforce capability, accelerate talent development, improve performance, and achieve business goals and/or mitigate business risk.Leading a team of Learning Creation Leads who oversee the work of designers, developers, BPO talent, and vendor partners, this Leader ensures the ILET production plan is executed with speed, quality, and cost effectiveness, while optimizing the learning technology ecosystem. The Lead is accountable for all design and development activities across all learning methodologies and technologies including digital medial creation for assigned catalogues. This leader partners with the Program Management Office for assigned enterprise-wide development areas and divisions/functions within their accountability.Responsibilities

  • Partners closely with business stakeholders and business-aligned learning professionals to drive discovery and analysis of prioritized portfolio needs, ensuring appropriate data and insights are collected and assessed to drive the development of an effective learning strategy
  • Leads the creation of overall program management for their assigned enterprise-wide development areas and divisional/functional learning portfolios valued at $25MM
  • Aligns the design and development of learning assets to the GL&D Learning Model and strategy delivering on the brand promise and learning principles ensuring they are learner-centric, outcomes focused, based in learning science, scalable, innovative, and inclusive.
  • Collaborates with Client Facing Learning Leads and business stakeholders to ensure learning resources are assigned to support business needs and outcomes
  • Accountable for creation of learning experiences on time, with the right cost and quality
  • Through their team of Learning Creation Leads, they are accountable for their design and development teams to create, curate, and adapt learning solutions while ensuring seamless workflow, agility, and speed
  • Ensures team members adhere to the content strategy, quality standards, governance, and lifecycle management of learning products
  • Partners with the Strategy and Operations team for ensuring vendor partners and the BPO, provide content and/or talent resources needed to create learning experiences
  • Leverages interdependencies across assigned business units and ensures risks to the learning architecture are mitigated.
  • Ensures effective and consistent assessment and measurement strategies for learning experiences/solutions for assigned portfolio
  • Partners with the Learning Production and Execution team and Learning Operations to track metrics and measures for the effectiveness of learning experiences
  • Partners with Learning Technology and Learning Operations team on the technology and infrastructure required to support the development and delivery of learning products.
  • Keeps up to date on external trends and best practices to ensure application and identification of new capabilities, technologies, and approaches.
  • Applies expert leadership to create diverse and inclusive environment to attract and retain best in class talent.

  • BA/BS in Learning systems, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related fields
  • 12+ years of demonstrated team leadership and program management experience of complex multi-divisional programs (8+ years with a Master’s Degree).
  • Application of UX design and design thinking principles to assess learner/persona capability gaps in the development of learning systems to realize the blueprint
  • Demonstrated instructional design and learning science expertise applied to live, virtual, online, social, adaptive and in the flow continuous learning experiences
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to align various stakeholders to a common goal
  • Strong executive presence and excellent communication skills
  • Analytical/problem solving skills, cross-functional leadership skills, experience managing a team of employees with competing priorities
  • Strong balance between technology, solutions, and business acumen with a deep desire to deliver business value to the organization and an enhanced learner experience
  • Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously and independently, maintaining attention to detail and adapting to changing environments
  • Ability to leverage data and analytics to drive insights and decisions
  • Ability to leverage innovative digital learning technologies and scalable user interfaces for web and mobile learning experiences

  • Strong understanding of compliance-related concepts and application in all job-related functions

  • Process management and/or process improvement experience or certifications

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Instructional systems or another relevant field
  • Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences experience
  • Significant experience in Learning Design/ Development and up to date instructional design and learning science applied to live, virtual, online, social, and adaptive continuous learning experiences
  • Strong understanding of change management with a focus on learner experience
  • Project Management certification &/or Agile Scrum experience
