Lead Medical Writer (Visa Sponsorship Available)

Job Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated, and highly organized Medical Writer to join the All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC) on a fixed-term basis until June 2028. This role is a secondment to meet the needs of the service, and you must obtain permission from your current line manager before applying. The successful candidate will provide medical writing support to the Medicines Optimisation and Welsh Analytical Prescribing Support Unit (WAPSU) team.

Requirements:

  • Qualification (Essential):
    • A minimum postgraduate diploma qualification or an equivalent level of knowledge.
    • A life science degree.
  • Skills (Essential):
    • Excellent written, report writing, and editorial skills.
    • Critical appraisal skills.
    • Excellent IT skills.
  • Special Knowledge (Essential):
    • Evidence of based medicine/research skills.
    • Knowledge of guideline development and medicine assessment methodology.
    • Awareness of Health NHS strategies.
  • Experience (Essential):
    • Literature searching and evaluation.
