Adoption Tees Valley is the Regional Adoption Agency, covering the five Tees Valley Local Authority areas. We are responsible for completing adoption assessments, matching and linking children with adoptive families and providing outstanding adoption support. We have been hugely successful in finding families for children and have helped more siblings be placed together, more older children and children who have additional needs to be adopted. We continue to build our adoption support service and are committed to adoption support for all children and families from the time the child moves into the family.
This is what some of our adopters have said:
“The Education Support Worker recently joined a meeting with us, and I felt, provided a strong education voice in the room that ‘gets’ adoption in a way that many don’t. She had some amazing suggestions for the school around support and helped to steer some of the thinking and ideas.”
